What our customers are saying

“Our son can read because of your kitsMicrobric He couldn't read and thought there was no point in it, but he discovered he had to learn to read to use the manual. It was hard going for a seven year old, but he's now 10 and in the top band for literacy, and he even tells the story of how Microbric ('robie' as it's called here) made him learn to read” – C. Nicoll

"Microbric really is a fantastic kit for young boys and girls to learn about model building, mechanical-electrical interfacing and software programming"
- S. Brauen, Scout Leader

Microbric is a solderless electronic kit construction system using electronic modules and connector ‘brics’, making it ideal for robotics and customised electronic designs. It's as easy as building bricks!

There are a range of different electronic modules available, including: light sensors, bump sensors, buttons, LEDs,  Infrared transmitters, infrared receivers and line tracking sensors to build the ultimate line following robot.

Have a look at the range of Microbric robot kits available on the left under Catagories.

How does it workMicrobric

Microbric uses electronic modules with special Microbric edges that join together using connector 'brics' and screws. Simply place 2 Microbric modules next to each other, clip in the bric and tighten 3 screws. It's that easy!
Plus the connection is so secure and robust that robot can be built from it.

Here's how easy it isMicrobric
Microbric Robotics - Bring 2 microbric modules together edge to edge Microbric robotics - Connect the 2 Microbric electronic modules with the bric Microbric robotics - tighten the screws to make a solid electrical connection
Bring two Microbric edges together. Notice how the red terminals align. Insert a 'bric' between the two thenMicrobric
Tighten 3 screws to make the connection and firmly hold the assembly together.
